WUHL Shafman Lieberman selects FoodLink produce traceability platform

FBR Staff Writer Published 19 September 2013

WUHL Shafman Lieberman, a US-based produce wholesaler, has selected FoodLink's produce traceability (PTI) platform for all its packed and shipped produce within the US.

FoodLink connects advanced case and item-level tracking, with an extensive commerce network of buyers and sellers transacting over the FoodLink network.

The FoodLink network allows tracking information about where food is grown and packed all the way through the supply chain of shipping, purchasing and receiving by retail category managers, and finally bringing it to consumers.

WUHL Shafman Lieberman general manager Ron Dominguez said, "We needed something that would work right out of the gate and be able to address our retail customers' requirements. FoodLink's experience with retailers combined with the strength and flexibility of their solution really stood out."

Through its Fresh Cut Produce division, WUHL Shafman Lieberman handles a complete line of fruits and vegetables including onions, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, peaches, citrus, grapes and cantaloupes.
