IRI, SPINS to integrate technologies to support organic products industry

FBR Staff Writer Published 16 May 2013

Information Resources (IRI) and SPINS have partnered to accelerate the growth of the natural and organic products industry by integrating SPINS’ natural/organic food segmentation with IRI’s Consumer Network household panel.

The partnership will create a new natural/organic segmentation capability that allows CPG manufacturers and retailers to effectively identify and market to consumers and shoppers in the growing natural/organic sector.

The perspective is based on an integrated view of how consumers think, shop and buy, as well as insights to understand and anticipate their needs. Integrating those insights with IRI's core consumer and shopper solutions allows marketers to execute strategic plans for distribution, marketing, trade spending and new product development.

The IRI Consumer Network panel provides in-home scanner-based purchase reporting and proprietary analytical solutions to help manufacturers and retailers in evaluating volume and share level trends based upon the consumer actions, the level of brand and retailer loyalty, and the impact of consumer and shopper promotions.

IRI is a leading provider of innovative solutions and services for consumer, retail and over-the-counter healthcare companies.

SPINS is an information and insights provider for the natural and specialty products industry.
